Dairy product maker Dairy Products Inc says it will stop selling dairy products in Canada
Dairy Products is recalling about 2 million pounds of butter, dairy products and other dairy products due to food poisoning.
The company says it is recalling because of an illness reported by three customers.
The company says the illnesses were caused by the production of dairy products at the Dairy Products plant in Oshawa, Ontario, between February and August.
The recall is affecting more than 6 million pounds.
Dairy Products says in a statement that it is aware of the illnesses and is taking steps to control the outbreak.
The food and beverage industry is a major consumer of the dairy product.
Dairy Products was one of the companies in the food and drink industry that contributed to the creation of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in 2011.
The agency was created to ensure that food products, including dairy products, meet regulatory requirements and that Canadians can safely consume them.
